I don't get why everyone hated this game because it was "different". In my opinion, one of the best last-gen games. I don't remember having more fun than playing this with other friends.

Gotta say, THQ did a fucking wonderful job timing the music in Saints Row. I don't even like Kanye West, but once it started playing I felt like a badass. Same goes for I Need a Hero. There wasn't even any hesitation once I heard the music playing. I rushed my ass over there to save them.

This was one of the finest moments in gaming where the music perfectly matched, enhanced, and engrossed the moment.  Saints Row 3 got so much right without taking itself so seriously and this song and the end mission was a fantastic culmination.

Hitting the raised drawbridge and getting the cinematic slow motion camera as soon as the vocals start made me realize I was in for one hell of a finale. It had car chases, fist fights, speedboats, speedboats ramping up stairs, climactic battles atop a giant monument, ninjas (my gang members), explosions... it was really just the most over the top 80s action movie finale i've ever seen in a game.
