This track... especially with the sunset going on... it has a similar emotional impact to Xion's death scene, and I mean that comparison as a compliment because that was the first cutscene in a video game to ever make me physically cry.

I remember a few years ago I found this song…… I don’t remember all of what was going on, but I remember I was writing a story or two. And I remember just lying in my bed and crying and crying…… I love the key, I love the instrumentation, I love the swells, I love the song………


But now years later, I’m only left with a faint memory of what happened… the smallest flicker of a candle… a reminder that there was something……… but I don’t remember what. I feel like I’ve lost whatever me was around back then, but yet I still know that me is still with me. This song has been long buried in my memories… yet it’s influenced so many of my best compositions from my conscious and later my subconscious.

It just feels so surreal coming back here… and watching the old memories slowly warm back to life like gently blowing on embers of a campfire. I think I was writing a story about an enchanted forest but the protagonist was left there to die… but I feel like I also listened to this for some poetry too. Puzzling… saddening…

Damn, the second time I watched the ending, I was freaking crying my eyes out, knowing that US!Paps and US!Chara will suffer in their dying world and eventually... die. They did bite the dust, after all.

*Is it this absolute anarchy of matter, constantly tearing itself apart for the fun of it?
*Is it this small speck in the universe that houses homicidal organisms that tear themselves apart and say it's beautiful?
*Is it this place that is full of nightmares that cancel out any sort of dreams that live?
