R1Liz - Iceland with S1000RR - P2 - 500 miles

The road to Iceland is long.

To get to the only ferry going to Iceland, you have to ride to the top of Denmark. I do this in two days as it’s nearly 1000 miles from my ferry port to Hirtshals, the first day is 500 miles to Bergen in Germany, which is a challenge after a terrible nights sleep on the 4 hour ferry to France, but I do it anyway.

Someone asked why I use motorways - simple answer is it’s cheaper to do it this way than to add more days to your trip. Motorways do suck, but I’ve grown to love the solitude and mind numbing boredom.

lol yep I’ve done the same thing I was pushing my bike in a car park full of bikes and wondering why it was so hard to do when a young lady came over and said did I realise it was in gear. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣very embarrassing. But if you can’t laugh at yourself then it’s a sad thing life is to short and things happen. Looking forward to the next instalment. 🤗😂🤣😂🤣😂😂

Hope you get on well liz just for Christ sake take more care if stretching you legs out I take it you just put your leg straight down stretch them out forwards I exspect you’ve realised that I think problem was you was so tired and not concentrating you should of had a longer break perhaps but if you’ve got a deadline to get somewhere it’s hard I know but just ride safe take care and enjoy
