It's 2034. HSR has just teased its 12th new permanent monthly-reset gamemode, allowing players to be able to pull enough just enough for 2 pities, like just 2 updates ago, along with 10+10 free pulls. The economy was booming, characters left and right were desireable, and instant favorites as they were announced and profits soared as players, both F2P and Whales alike, found themselves getting E6 characters much easier with all the jades. MHY forgot to announce an anniversary gift. No matter, they give compensation jades and double it for good measure. The players boot up their game, spend less than 5 mins for their TB power and dailies, closing it immediately to wait for the next story update. They chant "Genshin could never, Genshin could never!"

A Genshin player clenches their fist. They've done it, they've rebelled against Celestia, they've found our sibling, they've gone to bed with the 7 archons and they've pulled as much as we could. But they could never. For over a decade, they could just never. For the next hour, they finish their 4 daily quests, spend their resin, run spiral abyss for the umpteenth time. They stare at the Tsaritsa rerun, only for them to still be 5 pulls short from their soft pity and from their first potential copy after being wasted on their 35h Qiqi. They could never, they would never.
