I do not understand why this reboot gives me such strong nostalgia considering I never saw the original Ducktales, or any Duck-Anything except one episode of Darkwing Duck, and I never played the NES game.

And yet simply watching it with a friend who knows enough to point out each reference is enough for me to find almost every episode epic as a celebration of the greater Duck universe.

I told my GF that i never really watched Ducktales (just a few episodes) but played the game on NES when i was a kid.
I love "to the moon"!

She convinced me to watch this series and it was pretty good so far (9/10)... but when Della Duck was introduced i heard something familiar in the background...

my GF didn't understand what that meant to me.

This is pure love to the hole franchise!

The Ducktales reboot had no business being so good. And this was Exhibit A of why. When they first showed Della looking back at Earth and the first melody of the Moon Theme played, I totally lost it.

You need to have been born in the mid 80's and have played Ducktales on NES to fully get this. And if you DO fully get this, you probably had some VERY INTENSE goosebumps.
