Funny how many people aren't aware of how touchless washing works. When ever I do maintenance (touchless) washes on our cars I go bottom to top then follow up with a rinse top to bottom. The products have longer dwell time to work and there is less chance of streaking when it dries.
I washed a family fleet of trucks every weekend for years with hot pressure washer and foam. Bottom to top and a rinse down resulted in an acceptable clean in one pass. Saved time water and product.

Rinsing from top to bottom is most effective, in my expierience.
