I think you comment on how nobody makes an affordable 2 door sports car while simultaneously complaining about 2 separate affordable sports cars. Is the GR86 imperfect? Fuck yes, is it also quite possibly the best cheap sports car on the market? 100%! Reliability aside (they come with a warranty for a reason) Is the 718 a bit old? Yes! But isn’t that what we’ve been asking for??? A vintage-esc sports car, a reprieve from the modern hybrids and electric cars? This is why sports cars are dying, because people are too fucking picky. We screamed for a turbo on the GR86 but if it had one we’d be screaming about them being too fucking expensive for our cheap asses… We need to appreciate what we have far more, it’s going to be gone before we know it, stop complaining and start appreciating the fact that we still have these things at all.

Well, there's one thing I have to disagree with you on. My mechanic has been raving about the Lucid Air since it was first introduced and claims it's the best EV on the market. For reference, my mechanic has been a gearhead since the time he could talk. When we were in Kindergarten, he had a Honda Odyssey 450cc go kart, 4 dirt bikes and numerous other motorized toys that he modified by himself. By 3rd grade, he had a souped up GoPed that could go 40mph, and his own car that he would drive around his back yard. Since getting his license, he's driven nothing but motorcycles, sports cars, and diesel trucks. This dude eats, sleeps, and breathes any and all vehicles. He even works on boats, jet skis, and snowmobiles. Anyway, a couple years ago, he told me that he wants an electric car. I tried to convince him to get a Tesla Plaid. He laughed and said he would absolutely never get a Tesla. They're built terribly and they're all around awful cars for the money. He really wants a Lucid Air though. He says it is far superior in build quality and reliability to a Tesla. It's the EV we should all be saving for. He absolutely agrees with this being one of the top 10 EVs of the year, and in his opinion, the best EV of all time. Compared to a Tesla, Lucid is like a Toyota in terms of build quality and projected reliability. His current daily driver is a 2022 GMC Sierra 2500 High Sierra diesel, but he wants his next car to be a Lucid Air. I've known this dude my entire life, and I've never seen him take any sort of an interest to EVs until the Lucid Air was introduced.

Id suggest the Mercedes-Benz E63 S AMG wagon in place of the Lucid Air Pure, because its stupid fast and more practical than the Air, especially in colder climates. 600+hp twin turbo V6 wagon? Yes please.

I normally dislike corvettes but this new body style made it a REAL sports car by putting the engine in the middle. Beautiful vehicle now. Wonderful weight distribution!
