27 k is not cheap for any car the world has gone nuts. A muscle car in 68 was around 4k same steel parts same factories now they’re over a hundred thousand what will it be in another 50 yrs 500k? Where does it max out?

You can get a model 3 for around 33-35k. No way that 27k price tag on the VW lasts. Every EV is gone up a lot.

I’ve been wondering for a while now if you could make an electric drivetrain vehicle that uses a gas engine to just run a generator basically. It would still be a gas vehicle but with electric drive train and no batteries. Obviously they wouldn’t do that but I think it could be pretty efficient. Just run a high powered small engine and it wouldn’t need a lot of torque just high rpm to generate a lot of electricity.
