I am impressed by your wonderful sensitivity and aesthetic eye. Until now, I had hardly seen any Hollywood productions that featured Japan or Japanese characters. Because when you watch it, you're disappointed and can't get into the story. Even though the story was good, the Japanese expression was a mix of "Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, and Thai" and was just terrible.
This time, Sanada-san is the main character, so I really wanted to see it, but I wasn't expecting much of an expression of Japanese culture.

That's why I was surprised that when you put your mind to it, you can create something so beautiful and realistic, and I also feel the hidden power of Hollywood productions. I also commend Mr. Sanada for bringing in a professional crew from Japan and the efforts of the Japanese actors.
Thank you for the wonderful costumes. All of these are beautiful. Japan is "indigo". That is also the correct origin focus.

In all of America's depictions of Japan before Shogn, there was something missing or too much. Projecting authentic Japan into overseas works has been a goal that Hiroyuki Sanada has pursued over many years, inherited from his master Sunny Chiba. I think he finally achieved that with this work and surpassed Sunny Chiba.
I would like to thank the staff for their efforts in making this work. They tackled extremely difficult tasks seriously and made Hiroyuki Sanada's dream come true. 🙏
