Rødhåd @ Nuits Sonores 2014

Rødhåd est un DJ Berlinois fan de Laurent Garnier et Jeff Mills... il part donc avec de sérieux atouts. Extrêmement demandés depuis l'an dernier, ses sets mélangent dub, techno et house. L'artiste s'est notamment fait connaître grâce au label Dystopian. Un nom qui en dit long sur l'univers musical de l'allemand : sombre, puissant et mélancolique. Une musique d'une grande profondeur qui n'empêche pas le DJ d'appliquer à ses sets une ascension à l'efficacité redoutable. Rien d'étonnant à cela en réalité : Rødhåd est également dessinateur de croquis d'architecture... Faisons-lui confiance pour créer à partir de petits détails des structures à couper le souffle.

Rødhåd est selon moi un des meilleurs artisans de la techno en ce moment. J'aime beaucoup sa démarche qui ne fait aucun compromis, il donne une touche intellectuelle au grands évènements qui rassemblent de grands noms de la scène électronique souvent un peu trop ''mainstream'' à mon goût. J'ai hâte de suivre son évolution lors des prochaines années, ce sera je crois très intéressant.

THIS makes me SO fucking happy!!! I've been into techno since the mid/late 90s. I thought I was gonna have to find another hobbie after what was happening in the 00s. when dubstep and MINIMAL was everywhere!
But this all made it so much worth it. Techno is BACK!!!

i meet him 2 years ago by a very little gig maybe 70-90 people. had also the chance to speak with him it was epic. but this set and the last 20 Minutes holy mother this is insane !!!

Wow, Rødhåd’s mix of ‘Lord’ by Roman Poncet at 58:35 sounds amazing! It sounds deeper and more hypnotic than the original track. I wonder if he’s mixing it with an element from the previous track (the Dances D’Afrïque Remix of Samuel L. Session’s ‘New Soil’) to get that sound or something. Truly mesmerizing!
