COME ON MAN could of been saved, first of all if the local community would of brought a large backhoe or ditcher something to pull all that rip rap out of the dam area to relieve the pressure and then after not doing that they could of at least put rip rap BACK into the area to divert the stream away from the home BUT hey its one home why should anyone bare the cost RIGHT damn shame guess its far easier to let someone else down stream clean up the house and all the trees that will follow then doing something RIGHT

I lived in Mankato in summer 2022 for a 12-week work assignment and used to ride my bike to Rapidan some evenings and get pie at the Dam Store. Very sad to see this. The store and this house always did look a little precarious perched up there.
