Nerf N-Strike Elite Reflex IX-1 - Range Test (Stock)

This is a range test for the N-Strike Elite Reflex IX-1.

Shots were fired flat at shoulder height. There was a slight breeze going from left to right across the firing path.

Results:
Low: 23ft
Mid: 32ft
High: 41ft

Yep, you hit it exactly. I could get higher ranges if I angled, but shooting flat is what you're most likely to be doing when you actually use them. Also it's a better basis of comparison blaster to blaster, because it's easier for me to consistently aim flat, then to try to estimate the same angle each time.

Yes and no. It's definitely Elite style, which is why I have Elite in the video name. Nerf has said that the N-Strike series is done and will be going away, so if they made this, then I believe it's technically considered "Elite".

However, it definitely does not have Elite ranges. The best comparison to something truly in the Elite line would be the Triad. Both have compact size, but the Triad can hit the upper 60ft ranges while the Reflex tops out around the 40ft mark at best.

Btw I hope you know that the jolt which is smaller has a DP. And I hope everyone knows it's more complicated to put a reverse plunger in a small gun than a direct plunger. Reverse plungers use up more space and are much more complicated. In this scenario, bigger is not neccesarily better

This reflex has a slightly different shape than the original n-strike one. I have them side by side next to me. The elite one kinda looks like a glock

I'd go Strongarm over Vigilon. I do love the Vortex blasters, but the Strongarm packs a serious punch.

You should do a range test of a modded nerf "elite" reflex and jolt

So it uses a reverse plunger system. Although it's very nice blaster, extremely mobile, I wish it wild have a nice range, but you can't expect it from a such small blaster.
