CLAIRO - Juna (Bass Cover)

Such a killer tune...the way @Clairo floats over interesting chord changes is wonderful! And the bass part is super fun to play...I just wish I had a short scale bass or something with flatwound strings on it!

To that end I improvised and added some foam at the bridge on my Sterling by Musicman bass which cut the sustain then EQ'd my "amp" to be super dark.

The mute definitely makes the sound more authentic.

I love the way it makes the sound more percussive with shorter sustain like an upright bass.

great cover! is this the studio version or you incorporated some of the arrangements the bass player did on fallon? i could swear they are almost the same but not quite, i don't know if its the mix, very subtle ghost notes or tone of the bass but it sounds so much better. If they actually differ in some way I'd love to hear you play it, cheers!
