I’ve been doing just that. I was so consumed by terrible feelings, and it was eating away at me, and my relationships. And I was totally justified in my feelings. But, Radical acceptance, that something made the person who wronged you be the way they are, and it’s really on them, and even having empathy for that person, who did the unforgivable, has set me free. I feel a huge weight has been lifted.
I don’t think the message here is you have to forgive everything or everyone all the time, but when you can, it’s actually SO much better for YOU. That doesn’t mean you put yourself in a situation where whatever happened, or was happening, will or should continue. We all need boundaries. But boundaries and forgiveness, can exist in the same space. ❤

I would rather forgive somebody than try to pull out an apology from them that won't be sincere. I have wasted lots of energy trying to teach people how to treat me.❤❤❤
