Inspired by the 1963 film 'Cleopatra', René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo created one of the most famous characters in the Asterix universe: Queen Cleopatra. Simultaneously choleric, authoritarian, loyal, big-hearted and incredibly beautiful, Cleopatra is an impressive woman who does not only inspire admiration in Getafix. In the dialogue with Caesar, sparks fly between these two dazzling figures of history and the odd vase is broken. Also the famous leopard may not be missing in this scenario.
