I love her. I bought her book 32 years ago and have graced friends and family to many “India Night” dinners. Because of her I have a spice vault. Thank you Madhur

I LOVE her!!! I have had one of her cookbooks for 20 years!!
It has the most food stains in it out of all of my other cookbooks. I have never cooked a bad thing from her book!

My mom learned to cook from her cookbook when I was a child and the only Indian restaurant in our area closed. (There are others now. This was the late 70s.) When I moved out of my oarents' house, there were two cookbooks I NEEDED my own copies of - An Invitation to Indian Cooking and The Joy of Cooking. Thank you, Madhur, for making our lives infinitely more delicious. I would love to take this class even though I've been making dal and pooris and gulab jamun for 35 years, just to watch you make these recipes and hear you describe them.

Also, she's 89 (read: EIGHT-NINE) years old! If I could look that good if/when I reach her age, I'll have what she's cooking!

First I have to say you were awesome in Today’s Special! I’ve watched it again and again as it’s one of our favorites. My favorite part is the story about the blue feet 🤣 My husband and I love Indian food and I cook it pretty often. My favorite dish is Palak Paneer with Naan and my favorite spice is cardamom. Can’t wait to learn great things from you! ☺️

I'm not into spices, but I like her attitude and presentation. I'll watch her videos just to see an expert at work - yes, it's fun!

My favorites are simple, comfort food.
A bowl of Dal Makhani, or Keema, and
chapati/roti/puri, bhatura/naan...basically any of the breads work for me.
A little basmati rice on the side

Honestly, any other country claiming to be masters of spices would just be them exaggerating their own cuisine, but India, I cannot dispute. They truly are masters of spices.
