The NFL's all-time leading receiver scored 16 Stableford points at the greatest of all celebrity golf tournaments at Edgewood. The opening round at the American Century Championship found Iraq vet and amputee Chad Pheifer setting the pace, with hockey great Jeremy Roenick one back. Rice with his Big Break NFL Champion partner Isaac Sanchez on his bag are just 5 points behind tournament favorite Annika Sorenstam who birdied her final hole. Rice stands in the top 10 and hopes to make his move Saturday.
