Willow had everything. Suspense, action, comedy, bravery, fear, anticipation, compassion, love, and magic (just to name a few). Loved this movie!

When it was made, Willow was one of the very few sword-and-sorcery movies that was actually good. It's also good to hear James Horner's (RIP) soundtrack again.

I watched Willow dozens of times growing up, just showed my 7 year-old the movie and he absolutely loved it, so I'm really looking forward to watching the series with him.

Interesting random film fact from original Willow film. When the baby was lowered into the water the baby kept crying loudly because it didn't know anyone. So they got the babies nanny to lower it into the basket. It's her hand you see not Warricks. It was a woman called Joanne. She would go on to appear as a member of the fat fighters club in little brittain.

Val kilmer is a special actor and person who has faced adversity of massive health problems, has faced the monster, has shouldered the weight of a giant and found his shoulders more than strong enough. But no one can crawl through burning glass and not bear lifelong scars. He is a great actor but he has also used up his vigor in a fight to survive. I doubt sincerely he is up to the grind of a tv show, and were he so able I doubt he would choose to reprise this role when new roles might be had.

Most likely he will make an appearance. Thanks to his long career being recorded, new technology has voice sync that sounds very nearly exactly as he has sounded on the past when he speak types. But being the creative soul he is he wouldn’t prefer to sound as he has done, but would prefer to build a new as the part requires. Still I’m glad for him that he can have a very close approximation of his wonderful inflective voice available.

I hope this series is good though it’s questionable. I wish all of the old cast nothing but good.

"Built around the DNA of the original movie"... Ah yes, similar to Frankenstein's monster
