Both watches have a black ring around the watch face, taking up screen space and doing nothing. Older Wear OS watches did not have this problem. The whole screen was available. I am really hoping this cheap corn syrup trend ends soon. I won't be upgrading until then. The more tech reviewers bring that up, the faster these companies will move away from that. They do this to save screen space to boast longer battery life so they can justify the high prices. Let's get them to start using the whole screen again. Thanks for the review.

I have fossil gen 5 julianna its still in great shape and work gear, What ilike is to fossil watch is when you play music just press top and bottom to next and back and and middle for up and low volume. I got the samsung watch 4 and i returned to the store i didn't like it cos u have to touch the screen all the time..i always like fossil.

Both watches have different styles. Fossil always has the most stylish traditional looking watches, whereas the GW5 is a bit boring style wise. Anyway, both are great watches, but gotta agree the GW is better feature wise; I just don't like the 5 minute snooze. ha.

Simple Choice. Fossil 6 works with iPhone and all brands of Android, Galaxy 5 does not.
