Iron Maiden: Heaven Can Wait - Adrian Smith's Guitar Solo #ironmaiden

Without detracting from Janick's blistering live rendition of this solo, there is just something unique and magical about the version that Adrian originally played on the Somewhere In Time album back in 1986.
Here's my interpretation of it. The original guitars were removed with Moises AI, except for the last note of the solo which for some reason managed to bleed through anyway. I hope you enjoy it!

Janick is a wonderful guitarist and I love what he brings to some of Smith's solo sections, I even prefer them sometimes, but Somewhere in Time is almost sacrosanct to me... Adrian was truly playing out of his skin at this point in time. (Not that he's never anything less than amazing!)

I really focus on learning this solo from the 7th tour version. Maiden England recordings. I used this solo to audition for a band once. They all looked at each other and said " dude you're in"😂🤣

Adrian played that solo again on the 2003 tour, there are a few bootlegs where he actually plays it
