Thank you for explaining the options buying BMW: Harmon radio, sunroof, warranty, heated seats, parking assistance and calculations which i have made several comments about why BMW sales are up. BMWs are mostly leased which why sales have increase. Buyers want the experience, performance and reliability. Also, like you said, "these vehicles are disposables ". This is your opinion but to each its own.
BMws and Mercedes are also reliable vehicles and many other vehicles that had not been mentioned
These BMW are leased, and leased and leased. There is nothing wrong with leasing ( nothing should ever go wrong when leasing which it doesn't because i have leased and during those 3 years, I had never had any problems during those 3 years. Yes, it was reliable. So, this is were BMW reliability kicks in ( during the years of leasing). Why people lease, short term, want the experience before they decide if they want to buy the car or change series, or experience what they heard about BMW 3000 ton, heavy weigh cars, 0- 60, drifting, compare Mercedes to BMWs, BMws are better than Mercedes, AMG, v6 engines or they can not afford $1, 200- $1, 500 when they can lease for $800 or $900. The bragging goes on on and now BMW IS NOW RELIABLE. So, it's never been and now it is???

BMW is dead to me. I can't get on board with iDrive 8 and the stupid buttonless bandwagon crazy they've jumped on. Plus all the cheap shiny plastics in their interior now is getting out of hand. And their stop start technology which they forced on everyone? Forget it.
