This is heartbreaking... This song has EARNED so many more viewes. The one band that was with me through all the bad times. My gratitude to these guys can never, ever be re-paid. It is nothing short on an honour to be in debt to human beings of such caliber. People of such incredible and indescribable integrity. R.E.M. will forever have my love. Thank you.

This is one of my favourite songs ever and my favourite part is the little drum shuffle in the chorus at 2:58 Makes me very happy. Thank you Bill Rieflin, rest in peace.

This song and album was released 30 YEARS after their first single. Listen to the quality of this song, and others on the album and think about that.

So beautiful, so simple, so real as R.E.M. always was.... I miss them:(

Extraordinarily beautiful song even by this band's extremely high standards, and a really extraordinary, strange, beautiful film by a great director that makes more sense the more you see it, and listen. She is showing our (her) feelings in response to the song, not 'illustrating' it. Bless them all for this work of art.

I'm relatively new to R.E.M.'s music, but I absolutely love their music.

The beauty of this song and horse pics is every thing at once. My kids crack up when they see it. And it is hilarious. The juxtaposition. Enjoy. R.E.M. Rules.

How have I never heard this before! It is beyond cool when music can still surprise you.

I used to listen to rock and pop music alot a long time ago. I loved REM. Later I hadn't and had no music culture around in my life whatever. Then a person which gave a lesson in our church played a version of Simon & Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water" sung by Elvis Presley over the computer and speakers. It was for an inspirational music presentation. I went home and thought of the music I had loved and that it was allowed. I listened to Elvis Presley's old "Rubberneckin'" on a compilation album I owned. The next morning, I was thinking "Wake Up Bomb" lyrics and music in my head. I wanted to hear what I hadn't heard for so long. After that I heard part of "Lotus" playing in my mind. When I was up I put on these two onto my computer laptop from YouTube. These songs and videos really moved me. I am immersed in music now and the current events coverage and. communication Michael loves so much. Martha

When did R.E.M. videos make sense EVER!!!??? come on guys... I think beyond the simple images and the cheapness people might think it looks I really loved it. It's natural, it's just natural and "Walk it back" is the perfect song to play along with it. It's not the best R.E.M. video buy for sure is one of my favorites already:)

I don’t have any bad times that this band helped me through but still like them a lot :)

I'll tell you what this is. This is honesty. Just like when Michael Stipe looked like he could barely stand to sing into the mic in the video for Bittersweet Me. He is the most humble artists I know. He likes life as it is, not as people want it to be. If there's one thing you can take from almost every one of their songs, it's the desire to cut bullshit and talk straight with you. This is a fine example of that. Who else can give that to you? Unafraid to be human, THAT is REM.

some REM songs are just so hauntingly beautiful you have nothing to say - it takes hell of a video to make you snap out of it :D

Sometimes it's dangerous to give artistic freedom to people directing your music videos.

if you want to convey to the world that you are done with music, done with all the output that made you world-famous, create a beautiful, romantic song with a video of a horse urinating into the street.

Well, there's a typical REM vid.
Love the horsecock.
