So this set includes an aged Charizard and a pre-mutant Icebird.

I'd figure the beholder transformation would be similar to plush doll transformations, where you pretty much just turn the figure inside out. Seeing it instead extend out obvious panels was kind of disappointing, even more so when it apparently keeps a box shape around it? As for the dragons being shell-formers, the panels do make pretty good wings. The owl-bear just looks bad due to those arms; it is certainly the most ambitious transformation, but the final appearance is down there with the beholder.
