Doosan DNM500 Tool Call Fail (Slow-Motion Video)

Spindle does not detect any tool and let it fall while the toolchanger is moving out. the machine i detecting that no tool is in the spindle and take another try with same result.

Oh well at least you can blame the machine. I was setting up tools once when one of the holders, as I rudely learned, did not have a draw stud installed. Fortunately, the tool fell on the cover for the ways and ball screw and none of the inserts shattered. I did feel like a massive dunce, though.

Had the same issue. Tool holder only lines up in one orientation with the spindle drive. M19 before loading tools to make sure.

Is that a Geneva drive? I don't even see how that would happen with one.

It just happened again a few days ago and I'm quite sure it is a problem with the CPU load on the control. It only happens while programming in the background while the tool is changing.

Had this happen on two vipers and a samsung. Makes a person don't want to do a tool change. Scares the sh*t outta you when the tool drops

My boss was screwing with the setting to make the tool change faster. He was trying to cut seconds off of a program. The machine kept throwing tools and he couldn't figure out why. I set the tool arm back to the factory speeds and it stops throwing tools. Destroyed 3 tool bodies about 2k total and a couple hundred worth of tooling all to save 3-5sec per tool change.

I have kitamura vmc 1989 no issue in tool change (we don't done any maintenance)

my machine have same ploblem 2time firsttime i clean plug of sensor(dirty coolant in plug) it is ok after 1-2month it second fail tool change i change new magnetic it is ok magazine position fail you can change magntic to repair same
