I think they are developing Ezra’s character in a way that resembles Luke’s academy in Legends, where Jedi learn about the dark side for what it is, instead of fearing it and becoming lost in their emotions. They also knew what the temptations of the dark side were, but had the ability to resist them

I think Ezra is drawn to the dark side because of his past experiences in life. But after meeting the ghost crew he learned how to control the force and let it flow through him.

Ezra and Kanan were examples of a Master who trusted his Apprentice, maybe even 2 Master's. Ezra learned from Maul as well, and Kanan trusted him to learn about the dark side. I think that is going to be important.

Rebels was giving a somewhat but not completely traditional outlook on the light and dark side: One is unproblematically useful, the other is a temptation that should better be resisted, even if it's also very useful at times. The Jedi characters were trustworthy, the Sith were treacherous and selfish. However, the animals and creatures of the force in the show were not playing by these same rules. They seem to be light and dark, fearsome but not evil. Now "Ahsoka" is another beast entirely, we get dark Jedi with a conscience who I believe care about each other, a Mandalorian Padawan who pretty much isn't force sensitive, and a protagonist who is symbolically light incarnate but constantly disagrees with the Jedi order's teachings embodied in Huyang. When Ezra shows up there I don't know what he will do but I doubt he will be on either side of the traditional binary (light=good=Jedi / dark=evil=Sith).

super hot take, but I believe Ezra is the closest someone can get to Anakin's potential without being The Chosen One. the fact he could use Mind Domination, a darkside ability only Palpatine and one other Sith have achieved, with very little training & effort speaks VOLUMES. Ezra is probably one of the strongest force-users in the galaxy and we all casually ignored it

Honestly, I'm actually interested in this side of Darth Maul because he has the kind of behavior that suggests he could be a really good Dark Side teacher for the Sith.

Completely understandable but sad that he had to go after Obi-Wan Kenobi and then die.

I keep thinking about The Bendu, on how he said that an object (talking about the sith holocorn) can't make someone evil, nor it is intrensicly evil. So maybe Esra could find hes own place in the midle. That would be truly outstanding and maybe even be the one who trains Grogu in the future with that new philosophy.

Being able to use both the light and dark is insane. Ezra and Cal are going to be crazy

Great video, really explores the fine line between the light and dark sides. I always saw Ezra as the reverse of Starkiller, all powerful. While starring out completely devoted to one side of the force and through experiences drawing out the benefit of the other-side’s draw.

I feel Ezra is like bendu, balance of ashla (light) and bogan(dark)

I hoping that Ezra or Cal will mark the rise of the grey Jedi because both understand the benefit and need for power while being careful not to be consumed by it.

Edit: Also damn, a lot of people seem offended by the term grey Jedi, hilarious 🤣

I don't know about Ezra Bridger joining a Force Order or Creating his own. He is a Rogue Anomaly given his teachings in the Light Side and his natural connection of the Dark Side.

It is rather interesting what Ezra paths would be or speculate if he followed Jedi path or the path of the Sith. Probably alternative universes or ideas of Ezra being trained by Yoda or Palpatine would be great to see and how Ezra Bridge develop his own style in either the Sith or Jedi.

I don’t think Ezra is going to necessarily be consumed by darkness, but I think he may be driven to insanity from torture, and temptations from the dark side, running around his imprisonment talking to himself, similar to when we first rediscovered Maul. Just my theory

I am really hardcore believer that the jedi purge actually strengthened the jedi, as cruel as it was, I believ that with more combat experience, and the fact that the jedi always have to have the survival mindset everywhere they go, with the empire roaming about everywhere they go, I truly believe this is one of the solefactors that the purge actually strenthened the jedi

Ezra would be an amazing gray Jedi. A true balance between light and dark. It would be awesome if he ended up learning vaapad.

He could be like Mace in that he has the darkness within, but chooses not to be consumed by it...instead using it as a tool when needed.

Ezra is going something like Mace windu. Light and dark. Balanced. Use the dark sides for combat and light sides for love, peace, and harmony.

It seems Ezra would’ve been a valuable asset to any force, wielding organization. The jet I have of her would’ve likely tried to kill him out of fear, especially mace and other members of the council, with the exception of two Kenobi and Yoda. Anakin/Vader in many circumstances may have actually try to exploit until Vader tries to kill him once Ezra ceased to be useful.

Good night sister’s would’ve been greatly fascinated.

I feel like even Mandalorians would’ve been intrigued to some extent, considering Ezra‘s mentality is similar to theirs.

Ezra is naturally good and Sabine, Hera and Ahsoka love him like family and will anchor him in the light.
