Most comedians seem to memorize jokes and repeat them in a lot of shows almost exactly. Russell, on top of that, he seems to have more of a "joke format" that he could flexibly apply to different situations, and even improvisations. But even on top of this, he imagines a brand new scenario on the spot depending on the name his audience gives him. This is actually amazing.

Russell is always genuine in his roasts and as a consumer of satire and comedy it shows who has a mock-up persona and who is being witty with honest intent to either educate/humiliate. I feel the comedians who have done their homework and know intimately about the places they visit can do much better crowd work than a pre rendered skit reciting robot.
