Pack one box each day starting now, and as soon as you get keys to the new place set up your kitchen, bedroom and bathroom before moving day. That way you can relax after your stuff has moved in and wake up and enjoy your normal routine.

Moving tips: Donate stuff you don’t want, before you move. I wish I did that when I moved in with my hubby after we were married.

If you hire movers make sure to take all your valuables with you. My parents had an awesome vinyl record collection that my dad thinks the mover stole when our family moved. Anything you really treasure, take with you in your own vehicle.

Bubble wrap is great for wrapping Christmas ornament. When I would get a wedding gift or something from Amazon, I used to save the bubble wrap. My ornaments are wrapped in bubble wrap.

Label everything! If you go get free boxes from somewhere, label the box. If you use plastic containers instead, label the container with tape.

Hope you love it. San Diego has gotten so dang expensive that I’ve lost all desire to move back. I feel like I don’t want to live in a place where common people can’t make it (the single teacher, postman, waitress, firemen, nurses, etc)...
