Crazy Multi-Effect Plugin – Unfiltered Audio: BYOME

In this video I'm giving a quick tour of a plugin I recently bought, Byome by Unfiltered Audio. It's a crazy multi-effect semi-modular plugin with 40 built-in effect processors than can be chained in any order and modulated in any imaginable way.

I was lucky to pick this one up during a sale at Plugin Alliance (THIS IS NOT AN AD), because the regular price on this is a painful $249 USD. It's great but you should wait for a sale.

It's a lot of fun and pretty unique with it's modulation options so I wanted to make a video about it today. Hope you enjoy.

I subscribe to the Plugin Alliance bundle and i love all the Unfiltered Audio plugs. They let you do synth like modulation to any kind of signal and can really change the game. Great video as always. Thanks Jon!

:) glad to see this. I work very closely with Unfiltered Audio. You'll see my presets in Triad and Lion: Audilepsy. $249 for this thing is not a lot to ask.... I've gotten more than my money worth out of it.

minor comment: the "M" in BYOME stands for modular, not multi. Build your own *modular* effect. Though, the correct name should be BYOUECWUMMC, i.e. "Build Your Own Unlimited Effect Chain With Unlimited Modular Modulation Capabilities" :-)

Cool stuff! Speaking of building your own stuff, you should look into making a video about using VCV Rack with Reaper as an effect and/or instrument. That thing is addictive as all hell...

That VST pricing model of "high list price that seems too expensive punctuated by sale prices that make them a great value" seems to be the norm. I guess that works for them when the incremental cost per unit is a few pennies.

this looks cool but think I'll wait to see how the VCV Rack plugin version turns out first. If the VCV Rack plugin allows for audio processing, then it'll be capable of doing what this plugin can do but more so. Also, I'm always suspicious of plugin manufacturers who give their products overly high price tags and then do frequent sales significantly dropping the cost - it just feels like a cheap trick to me.

Can you tell me what you think about Glitchmachines plugins, have you tried using them?
I really like them, and their prices are not high, especially when there are discounts.
BYOME is very similar to Glitchmachins plugins.
