The Hidden Wonderkids of Football Manager

This may be my favorite video to make every year. I spend way too much time on it. It is an exhaustive search through the Football Manager database to compile an incredible list of very high potential players that won’t cost you much at all. In fact, they only cost $5 million on Football Manager.

You may not be here just to buy these players, which is fair, totally get it, interesting list of the top 20 hidden wonderkids would get me too. This is a list of great wonderkids that you haven’t heard about that you almost certainly will, as every one of them has the potential to be a regular for a good team in a top five league in Europe. Literally, every single one of them, so that’s good you don’t have to pick and choose.

Got Gloukh in my Hamburg save after finding him in the NXGN. In about 50 Games for the Club he has 49 GA and is my best player worth about 110 Million. Really love this guy 👍

A "hidden" one from Germany, at Schalke is Assan Ouedraogo. You can buy him in the first season for cheap, because of Schalke's finances, and if you give him playing time on loan or in your first team, he becomes a beast. Can play CM, CAM or as a Striker.

Gloukh just got signed by Salzburg as per Romano, def one to watch now in real life

Sadly, a lot of these will not be available after the update. For example Bergvall just joined Djurgården (should still be cheap a year afterwards, but not as cheap), Gkoukh joined RB Salzburg etc.

I like the fact that my scouts found most of the ones by the top in my very first save. Bought Ghoukh, Fofana (a guy you didn't include, don't really know why), Gulliksen and Schjelderup the first season at Leeds, they grew enough to be among my best players after a year and a half. I got in Bergvall and Nwosu as soon as I could (had to wait until they were 18). Feels like the scouts are doing a decent job this year.

Got Gloukh for 2.1 million euros in my Dortmund save. He played a major part in our 3 champion league wins.

the stats you see on Nwosu varie a lot. I have saves where he starts with 14 reflexes and saves where he has 8. And the height changes drastically save to save as well

Definitely seems like Thailand has a small group of really good young players IRL lately. I’ll be rooting for them to compete for a World Cup spot!

I had a guy named Tarick Ximines from Jamaican league signed for 2k and he is good enough to play in pl if he develops well. Also, Hidalgo might be the best young striker in the game

Jurado is a star boy already at Necaxa. When the last manager (who also was the Mexico U23 manager) didn’t play him over a failing foreigner, the fans called for his sacking (mixed in with poor resolutes). He is young and already has 1-2 seasons with the first team and if Lillini can work on him the same way he did with the youth at PUMAS, he should turn out to a decent player…

Brayan Alcocer from Venezuela and Anders Borset from Norway turned out to be very good in my save, also. I am in 2026 and Andres Borset is rated as a wonderkid. Signed him for 3.7 million euros and bids were going as high as 5 million euros. Nice CB abilities.

I turned Edwards into a possession based right back at Watford in the Championship and he was one of my best players. Definitely one to watch in the future.

I signed Prince Ndlovu for $400 for my Coventry City save (for old times sake) and gave him the no.7 and turned out to be one hell of a signing.
