Classic! This is a clip from Dwayne's Guitar Lesson.

Cartoon Network - Home Movies (season 3) "Guitarmageddon"
Directed by: Loren Bouchard
Written by: Brendon Small & Bill Braudis

Dwayne enters into a guitar contest called "Guitarmageddon," where he learns that he will be competing against arch rival Jimmy Monet. After much preparing, the contest takes place and, despite Dwayne's heavily acclaimed performance, Jimmy wins. Dwayne is comforted by Clarice, Jimmy's dimwitted girlfriend, who tells him that she believed his performance to be the better one. Meanwhile, the kids form a band with one another; their only song is "Freaky, Outie," which is despised by everyone that they play it for its annoyingly repetitive lyrical structure. Bitter hostility starts to form between the band mates and they break up. Brendon then learns that Paula has sold his Gibson ES-175 guitar, which upsets him as it was a rental.

For those who don't know, the creator of Home Movies, Brendan Small, who is also creator of Metalocalypse, is a professional musician and guitarrist. I recomend you take a listen on his album "Galaktikon"

For those that don't play guitar this is a very sad day for many young guitars you develop a special bond with your guitar teacher they don't just make you memorize chords or scales but instead gives you the tools you need to express yourself!
Which to be honest is how it should be throughout any type of education the main problem you see in many young people is burn out and stress over trying to memorize what they learned for a standardized test instead of how to internalize what they learn and incorporate it into their lives!

I think the joke is ---> F4 - D#4, then F4 - D#4 - D#4, F4 - E4 - D#4 - A#4 G#4

This show played a pivitol role in my childhood.
It inspired me to play guitar.
Something about the insane learning curve with playing dethklok kinda ended it though.

coolest complement I ever got was my brother telling me that's what my drum teacher and I sounded like when we talk together.

the guitar is very well animated, even if it's not exact

You can hear the director feeding the actor the next line if you listen in the background at 1:03

Some song with no lyrics crack me up and it always reminds me of this scene.

It be even funnier if some one can confirm the animation of his guitar playing is accurate

I sent this to my guitarist and he managed to perfectly replicate what Dwayne played to a tee

Such a good show. Most of em with crappy animation outright sucked, but it fit this one well, it was entertaining.
