Known as the 'Sponge Island' due to the long tradition of #sponge collection, Kalymnos is a place that attracts #visitors from all over the #world, seeking to experience the picturesque landscapes and authentic island #life. It is located in the southeast Aegean between the islands of #Kos and #Leros, and close to #Halicarnassus or #Bodrum, a famous #resort on the coast of #Asia Minor - #Turkey.

Kalymnos is the 26th largest island of Greece, with a population of almost 18 thousand #inhabitants. It is easily accessible via the State #Airport of Kalymnos, and is connected by regular ferry routes to ports such as #Piraeus, #Rhodes, the surrounding islands and #Turkey.
