I can totally see any of the bird Pokemon carrying your character either by the shoulders, like Decidueye, or carrying your character on their back.

I don’t know why but the image of riding on top of a garchomps head is oddly adorable

Though probably massively uncomfortable for the garchomp, but if they love their trainer enough they’ll probably accept the uncomfortability

Pokemon pink most likely would have had Clefairy on the front. The reason Clefairy was so predominant in the manga was because one of the Developers was taking bets with his wife on who would become the most popular pokemon. He wanted it to be Clefairy and she wanted it to be pikachu. The rest is history
