I was NOT expecting this game to support RT in any form

Can’t wait to put my rig thru its paces!

That's probably the most awesome game box art I've seen (last shot of the video).

There is something about these types of graphic arts that I actually prefer over realistic ones.
It's like a cool breeze on my imagination

As much as I enjoy the visuals, I can't deny the fact that some of the global illumination could've been achieved by merely tuning up the baked rendering (namely – brightening up the scenery).

Pretty sure at 0:13 thats RTXoff and 0:15 is RTXon.

some of these scenes look better with rtx off.
0:24 the whole scene is much more atmospheric and easier to read with rtx off

I really dig the visuals and art direction of the game. Probably gonna leave raytracing off on my 1070 :^)

Am I the only one thinking the game looks WAY better with ray tracing turned off in the comparison shots this video shows? Or maybe they mixed them up on accident? Because the "RTX Off" clips look infinitely better.

This trailer raises my hype again regarding the graphic level of the game. I feel like in the last showcase it was pretty evident that everything looked very flat and had gotten worse, but now, I see that the game looks amazing with RT. Enhances all artistic and texturing work.

I hope there’s a way to turn on only ray traced reflections. From what I’ve experimented with, reflections are the best use case of raytracing because it’s where you notice the biggest difference. Sure raytraced shadows and ambient occlusion helps too, but you notice the most difference with reflections while not sacrificing all your performance

0:25 I think a lot of the issues with this shot that people are ragging on is that the camera angle and movement is doing a lot of disservice here. RTX can do a lot to help balance and aesthetically meld vegetation into the scene. The vines on the left side as we enter look a lot better with RTX, but end up getting cut off by the editing so we can't really tell the difference. Not including more of the dark tunnel with RTX before entering into the bright cavern could have helped show the natural change in lighting that we don't get from the edit, as I bet the hard lighting from the cavern area probably helps with visibility in the dark area.

I also have a feeling that the *reason* the light in the open cavern area is so bright is because it's bouncing off of water below where the waterfalls are running. The entire scene probably has a really nice glow from whatever is reflecting down there, but we never get to see it. So our only comparison we really get is the loss of the artistically placed light source behind the dragon in the background with RTX on. There's a chance I'm just wrong about everything and they really just switched the footage by accident, or they snubbed the creative lighting with uncontrollable reflective lighting, but I have a feeling the camera direction and editing borked this harder than it should have.
