An adventure on the Silver and Ocklawaha rivers! INSANE views!!!!

We take a half a day trip exploring the Silver River that flows from the mighty Silver Springs as well as the quite yet gorgeous Ocklawaha River here in sunny Florida! Check out the breathtaking views of old Florida and where the crystal-clear waters of the Silver River meet the muddy dark waters of the Ocklawaha River!

I used to kayak on the Withlacoochie River where it met with the Rainbow River from Rainbow Springs... similar experience, good times, fishing with otters in the Rainbow River and alligators in the Withlacoochie. Sadly, I'm too old (70) and my kayak now sits on its trailer under a tarp behind my storage shed.

Before they put the rodman dam in Putnam County, the whole Oklawaha River used to be clear

Did you see All those trees that have fallen into the river ? Speeding boats is why. Anything over idol speed is too fast.
