DR ABC (THE PRIMARY SURVEY) - FIRST AID TRAINING - ST JOHN AMBULANCE

The Year 5 class were pleased to work with Darren from Saint John Ambulance.
Throughout the morning we spent some time learning the primary survey, also know as DR ABC.
Here is a step by step guide with Darren.

A St John Ambulance trainer, Darren and two of our Year 5 children show you how to give first aid to someone if you think they might be unresponsive or need your help. You’ll need to go through a primary survey every time you help someone. A primary survey is a series of first aid checks that will help you find out if someone has any life-threatening injuries or conditions.
