After three months since I pulled out the previous turbo charged Mazda 12A rotary engine we are taking the Viva for its first run with the new engine. Its the fourth different engine this car has seen in my hands. This time its a Mazda MX6 engine. Its the higer spec JDM version which as standard comes with about 200bhp. Normally fitted transversely in FWD cars I have adapted it to rear wheel drive with an adaptor plate I made from 10mm alloy plate and steel inserts which allowed me to fit it to the Rx7 gearbox already in place. Pretty bl--dy happy...

Looks like a superb conversion - nice job! I've long thought a modern V6 would go great in these cars - would love to do a droopsnoot Firenza with a V6. You've inspired me...

Cheers Graham. I have a friend here in NZ with a droopsnoot Firenza. Im trying to convince him to remove the boat anchor slant four that it currently has and fit the lotus 907 twink he bought. But he's lazy.   Yeah these little V6 engines fit in very easily- go for it! cheap too, .

Awesomness! Been thinking of a similar conversion for a sleeper HC, with a turbo'd 1.8 mx5 engine. But this looks like the business! Did you have any problems with W.O.F? What sort of suspension and brake up grades?
