Όπως αναφέρουν χθεσινά δημοσιεύματα στα ελληνικά μέσα ενημέρωσης, τα οποία έχουν ως πηγή τους το ΑΠΕ-ΜΠΕ, το Reuters και το AFP, η κυβέρνηση συνεργασίας των κομμάτων Λικούντ και Μπλε και Λευκό, του Ισραήλ, δεν κατέληξαν σε συμφωνία για τον κρατικό προϋπολογισμό και έτσι ο πρόεδρος της Ισραηλινής βουλής, ανακοίνωσε τη διάλυση της.
Μετά από αυτή την εξέλιξη, θα πραγματοποιηθούν τον Μάρτιο πρόωρες εκλογές και όπως αναφέρεται στα δημοσιεύματα θα είναι οι τέταρτες εκλογές που πραγματοποιούνται στην διάρκεια των δύο τελευταίων ετών.
