Man, I can’t tank you enough for this … I have issues sometimes finding certain noises on suspensions but with this tool I think it will help me to pinpoint where they come from . I have in my arsenal the wireless chassis ear but sometimes it does not help .

I have a 2 channel PicoScope and a really nice MicSig 4 channel oscilloscope tablet. Recently I came across info on the Chassis ear, and got their wired kit and their wireless (not bluetooth) kit as well. Once I began to use them I (also) began to think of how to connect the scopes to the sound clamp circuits to be able to visually see the noise patterns. I came across your video in advance of trying to connect the scopes to the Chassis Ear units, likely saving me a little trial and error effort. Many thanks! I am well retired now, but I sure wish I had known about the Chassis Ear units back in the 70s ands 80s, with or without a scope interface.

Excellent presentation. Many Thanks!

Love your videos and how you explain how and why things work. Thank you

IIRC, the wireless Chassis ear mics have a RCA(phono) plug on the cord. An audio phono cord and phono/BNC adapter would allow connecting directly to the scope. The elements (piezo disc) are the same wired or wireless.

Can you explain on thr clamp side how you have positive and negative connected? I assume thr clamp is positive but how is ground connected on the clamp side?
