Exactly what I clicked on your video for this morning. To remind me of Amor Fati. It seems so simple but yet difficult in practice. Thank you 🙏

More than enough. Our very breath is enough, everything else is just more icing on the cake!

I finally there. Takes a lot of introspection. Our society is wired to constantly want.

Totally how I live. I’m sincerely thankful to God multiple times a day, every day, for what I have.

Life is nothing without goals. Goals drive us and keep us motivated to use our day fruitfully. Even pursuing them provide a sense of achievement.
Until we are alive, find anything to be driven by

This is spot on.
The better I understand that what I have is enough, I seem to embody more.

I have plenty of money in the bank, I have no debt and my flower garden is on point.
I'm clean & sober, enjoying my bonus years with an understanding that it could all end tomorrow.

I can't have better yesterdays, it's my today that matters. And today is "enough".

You've just reminded me the Italian proverb/idiom ...
"Chi si accontenta gode."
If you're happy with what you have you'll be satisfied.
Also, "I mondo e bello che e vario", the world is beautiful because it's diverse and "Wabi Sabi".

As much as I like Teddy Roosevelt… I find it a bit bewildering that so many of our quotes come from those with power and riches vs those living in trailer parks. If all of this contentment is happiness is true - there should be a plethora of handy quotes stemming from double-wides.

Ive discovered that greed is a disease of the mind and it occurs when our basic needs are not met. These needs include social acceptance, specifically a feeling of belonging to a group. Whatever basic biological need you are lacking will result in discontentment and thus greed will occur. You cant just change your mind but you can change the circumstances leading to a change of mind.

Its also good to remember that poverty was the norm. Practice gratitude for all of our ancestors that have made the world into what it is today. This way you become forward thinking.

How do we find the balance between content and complacent? To what extent do we justify suffering to become better or achieve?

exactly, we should determine "Enough" for every thing. from Earning money to working. but it's easy to say and a little bit hard in reality

it's as simple as this
you just have to change your mindset

See that’s the thing. I think the concept of happiness and peace gets confused a lot. Happiness is something you get when your expectations are fulfilled. When you accept the way things are, and stop having these unnecessary expectations and hopes, that’s when you’re at peace.

But if you think what you have is enough, wouldn't that dissuade and demotivate you from pushing forward and aiming higher and for more in life?
