I've definitely been overpaying. I'm moving and realized I do not need the expensive 1 Gig plan I've had. But like you said, they are giving me a hard time to downgrade on the transfer to the new place. For someone living alone, even working from home, 200-300 Mbps is more than enough. My bill will go down in half. Great video! Very informative.

This was very helpful, as we recently moved to a more rural area and finding internet has been challenging. After watching this video, I was able to make a cost effective decision on a very decent plan for our household. Thanks so much for sharing this information!

Thank you. This was very informative. I live by myself and Verizon was trying to up sale me to the Gigabyte plan when I told the representative I was a gamer. Now I know that the 200 mbps $40 plan is more than enough.

Who knew picking out internet providers was so stressful. I’m currently moving and I currently have Century Link and I have a 940 MBPS plan, but my new address doesn’t support that same service. This made it easier, thanks!

Thanks from B.C. Canada. That was great explanation.

Please do a video on cell phone if network is poor in your area.

I live in Victoria BC Canada. I have had a cell pohone since 1990, no issues at all with network. 5 years ago i moved within Greater Victoria, im right by the ocean with very poor cell network. I have tried several different providers, same problem. I have ocean on one side, and heavily treed back yard.
Even the cell phone singnal booster doesn't work as well.
90% of the time my cell connection is poor.

WOW super helpful!! Thank you so much 🙏🏽 I tried finding videos to explain all three (latency, download, upload) and how they work with one another. All the other videos don’t go over the impact on a typical user so I appreciate you making this easy to understand.

Kev Thank you for such an informed video. I did order Cox 39.99 for 50 Mbps, cause we are not gamers, rarely do any music, if ever. You tube, Tubi, and movies and TV is all we use our devices for, I could have went lower but I have 3 phones and an iPad, 2 other adults live in home with only cell phones. Cox is sending us a router modem unit.Thank you for the video.

Thank you for this info, I was paying $50 a month with Spectrum for 200 mbps. I used it rarely. I moved to a different town and Comcast offered me 50mbps for $10. With you info I was well informed and was able to get what suited me. Again, thank you.

Truly excellent! I especially appreciate the clear (if over kind) explanation of how using megabits and gigabits can be confusing/misleading, since real world use of data is measured in megabytes and gigabytes!

I have 50 mbps. The loading time was long and I used double the data. I also live a lone. I went to 400 mbps and completely satisfied. I also use 2/3 less data while doing the same thing. Xfinity tried to push the 1 gig, I would but it’s not worth the $120 a month and also unlimited

You are the MAN!! Thank you for your pointers and advice. This is going to help me how to choose an internet service provider i have a lot to learn but ill start with this. Bits and bytes explanation is semi clear vs a few minutes ago it wasn't. Thank you for your video be waiting for the next one.

i have the extreme pro+ plan (xfinity) 600mbps/15mbps (upload is actually around 18mbps despite advertised as 15mbps) and i stream to twitch using 6k bitrate 1080p 60fps while playing online games and using spotify/discord and a few other programs and it works just fine, rarely ever any hiccups. When the isp its self isn't having issues . Perfect plan for me.

Great video! This was helpful for me because I always got overwhelmed by the surface "complexity" of these terms and plans that internet services use. Thank you!

Explain it well. I am supposed to have 500 from Frontier but I think I only get 5Mbps. For the last 30 years. I am sick of Frontier frustration. Now they raise the bill again. I will be changing internet providers next week 02/24🎉. I have only two choices Frontier or Spectrum. Frontier there's no one to talk to just Bots. Spectrum customer service is always there. I think I over purchased my package of a 1000Mbps not understanding and thinking I needed after years of frustration. Trying to exit Frontier will be another challenge🙏
