It’s Healthcare Science Week (13-19 March), and an opportunity for us to highlight the work of our healthcare scientists, who are a critical part of every clinical pathway in UHD. There are more than 50,000 healthcare scientists working in the NHS and public health services, with over 200 here at UHD. Their work underpins 80% of all diagnoses and their role stretches across the whole innovation pathway - from academic research to patient centred service transformation.
