Why put the stickers back on? Haha I feel like this was done to mess with me 😂
Also if you get time could we get a video of must have/ go to sprays fluids etcetc? Why you use them when to use them things like a type of grease over another in that scenario and so on would be good to have a good go to. I use loads of different stuff but find I forget sometimes when and why I used a specific type when I’m building.

I had Cobra tires on my Kawasaki Nomad and they were good tires in the dry and the wet and lasted 25, 000 kms. I have never tried the Cobra Chrome tires but they will be my next set. Commander 2's were okay but gave a harsher ride than the Michelin 888. Commander 3s were okay but slick as grease when they were new. Never had a tire before that you could put the front brake full on and still push the bike backwards !

I've never had: "I wonder if a motor oil changing shop's basement pit would be good to..." and "motorcycle" in the same thought in my life before, but I caught myself wondering for a second there. hahaha Great improvising under scary circumstances. (you made it all look very safe and workable though) The tire change was super satisfying to watch for some reason, you could tell the guy was a practiced pro with no wasted efforts. Cool :)

Great video. I have the same exact color Ultra. 2008 White gold pearl/Black pearl.
I switched to Dunlop American Elites.
I was looking at putting a Avon AV91 Cobra Trike tire on my 2011 Tri-Glide, but I've read so many negative reviews on the Avon Cobra's causing a buzzing and vibration in the handlebars, I stayed away from them.
Tip; Something I like doing when changing the front tire, I remove the front axel before jacking up the bike so I don't have to man handle the tire/wheel. Just take a little on the jack until the axel twists in your hand and just pull it out. Then jack the bike clear. Same in reverse when installing.

I had to do that once with an Indian. The front headdress had bolts that I just couldn’t get to, so I had to jack it way up. It was super nerve racking!
Enjoying learning about these bikes. Always interesting to learn how other bike manufacturers solve similar problems.

Good to see someone using antiseize on the caliper bolts and a torque wrench and balancing the wheels properly. Guy knows what he’s doing.

My wrenchng years were split between heavy trucks (lorrys) then elevators (lifts) 😁. We did a lot of rigging in that trade and I must say I'm very impressed with your rigging skills. You had that 1000 lbs. hanging in the air like a boss. Well done sir! Many thanks and safe riding Del and Penny. ❤👍👍

Hey Penny and Del, thanks for the video! That certainly is a strange design in that the front fender can't be removed until the wheel is out. Bizarre and further proof that engineers don't consult mechanics! Nice work, sketchy and all! Take care, dear friends... be well and ride safe!

After seeing close-up views of some of the metal parts, I'm grateful I live in the desert southwest of the US, where corrosion is a rarity.

You have to make life easier mod the front low panel so it can be removed by sliding out to give the clearance without jacking up more

Had to replace my rear tire today on my 86 Softail

You're right... 1, 000lbs dangling of 4 ratchet straps and 3 scissor jacks was "sketchy". I'd have had a heart attack prying on those bolts!!

Getting that tire off was quite an operation!

I wonder why tire makers suddenly decided that we need to run our front tires "backwards" compared to how we were told to run them forever? Makes you wonder how many other things that are the "right way" of doing things will eventually flip around, arse over teakettle in the future, to use you fellers 'cross the pond's way of putting it... :) Miss Penny missed a good chance to climb up on the bike when both wheels were off and ride it like a mechanical bull, Urban Cowboy style while it was TOTALLY hanging by the ratchet straps! Yee HAW!!

Yep, y'can't really stand these up-side down on their seat & handlebars - the owner's go nuts.
Tricky job sorted. - love the Mk1 gantry-crane, belt & braces approach to HD's heavy trousers!
Never handled white-wall tyres; is the sidewall itself white rubber, or is it a thin white ring molded
onto a standard tyre for effect? Do they in fact have a higher 'Wilbur-poundage' rating?
Have a great week, & drink plenty of fluids - or gargle wet cement & get really stoned : )xx
