This completely ignored socioeconomics, does the child of a millionaire have have less advantages than a child in care.

Well intentioned but missing the mark.

I am first gen indian immigrant and it's a huge advantage having both parents being Indian with PhDs. The value of education is through the roof in my house. That would be at least 6 steps forward in this example.

why aren't the questions about their family, upbringing and wealth class instead of 10 race questions as if immigrants can't be rich LOL

This is what divides kids. They probably had no problem with each other before but after they probably did.

There was a second effect seen here. Allen disengaged entirely & didn't try on the second run. The child who won the first time felt encouraged and won the second time.

Why do they focus so much on the few feet that divide the children and not on the miles they have walked together??

In 2024 I want to see if this experimental “walk” did any good on these kids’ ways to see the life.

watching this plus reading everyone's excellent comments made me cry...😿😢😔
ive felt others white privilege all my life and only 5yrs ago found out it had a name!!!
before that my parents would tell us that rude behavior was "white of way" .
definitely demeaning, degrading and would like for it to end forever. 😶

The voice campaign should have used this concept in their marketing, unfortunately some Australian's still don't get it or they pretend not to see their privilage.

We who are “white privileged” rarely stop to think about all of the things that stand as obstacles for some people to move ahead in life. Simple things like being born to a family that values education, having been read to regularly as a child, having parents who have graduated from high school and/or college, having parents who can afford to pay tutors to help you learn, etc, are all precursors to having success in later life.

idea of this video is spot on on, not sure small kids need to go through this experiment. Question about skin, eyes colour pretty much talk about white Vs others, Changing some questions it can apply to other places. I think idea of video is showing whether all races presented opportunities same way, same time. Persistence & speedy will win irrespective of race, it just you have to wait longer because you are not belong to “specific” race.
