Your approach is very similar to my brother in law

His only stock position is UOPIX, which doubles QQQ

He keeps 50% in UOPIX, 40% in bonds and 10% in cash, and he rebalances once a week unless QQQ moves more than 2% in a day, like yesterday

I watch the market all the time. Like you, I also took a tiny bit off several weeks ago and for the same reason. I think I took off 0.3%. I nibbled Friday and yesterday, but very little. Besides, the 5% in my settlement account isn't chopped liver.

I live for market dumps. I do my best to (carefully) harvest profit while it's on the rise so I have cash to spend in drops. (Retired, dividends are my primary income, still growing my nest egg with no new money coming in.)
