💑 About Hercules Candy
Hercules Candy has been on Steve’s side of the family since 1910(ish). When he took over in the 70’s, he anticipated after 10 years of hard work, he could move the business out of the basement and into a real storefront. Unfortunately, it took until 2018 for that to happen, but hey at least it happened! Steve and Terry own the shop, Craig (the social media manager) is their son, Cara (wrapper and shipper extraordinaire who is poised to take over the shop one day) is their daughter and Leah (who doesn’t love being on camera and is very elusive) is their oldest daughter. Karen has been working for Hercules Candy since the twins (Craig and Cara) were about 6 months old and everybody else is a new recruit. Don’t forget to subscribe and hit the 🔔 for more videos!

I love how despite hundreds of videos, across many years, repeating it, Craig has made sure that, even in the no talking ASMR videos, we have an explanation as to why they do not use a ladle for the corn syrup.

Not a candy maker myself, but I have watched my grandmother make peanut brittle dozens of times when I was a kid. My favorite part is when the baking soda is added, making all the bubbles and giving it that signature hardened sponge texture that brittle is supposed to have.

I've made brittle a hundred times and never thought to thin it out or stretch it. Absolutely brilliant!

The camera person had one job, ONE ... and freaking aced it!

Awesome tutorial and on screen prompts explaining everything. I enjoyed the levity as well, cute.

I have made pecan brittle now for over 50 years. This is the first time I've seen it made in big batches. I use a small sauce pan and pour the brittle over the pecans that are on a cookie sheet. U.S. A..

The sounds are great in this one! The scissors making the first cuts through the brittle and the crispy sound the brittle makes after it's been stretched are my favorites. I would be so tempted to drop those big pieces just to watch and hear them shatter! 😄 I also like the sounds of the bags as they're being filled. Thank you for the great explanations. ❤

My dad would have loved this pecan brittle. He left us a few years ago but he loved his peanut brittle so I know he would like it.

I adore that you use physics to manipulate the corn syrup and make it movable with your hands, it’s so clever.

I love it when the baking soda goes in

I already love the sound of those old fashioned scissors (I own a few), but hearing them cut through the warm brittle was pretty much perfection. I might have to try this myself, and maybe get a pair of scissors specifically for food prep.

I felt like watching the brittle being made was like free therapy. It was so relaxing and informative to watch.

I have always loved hearing the banter between everyone in your videos, from even way back to when you were working in the basement. I personally feel these no talk ones are boreing. Others amy feel differently. You cn only watch someone silently make the candy so many times. I always come for the " entertainent " and the smiles you bring to my face while you work to brighten my day. Plus you have removed all the old videos so we can no longer go back and rewatch our favories.

I really like that the cooking over the fire is done in a corner so people are less likely to get burned by hot candy.
