I just bought and fitted 2 high security locks from b&q. what isn't mentioned in video is that the centre piece of the lock is 10mm so if you go with the measurements from centre line of door to handle faceplate each end will be 5mm longer than this measurement which could lead to quite a large amount of lock protruding from door leaving it more prone to attack. so if your external measurement is say 40mm from centre line to face plate you may be better off buying a lock that is 35mm and likewise for internal measurement. this is what I did and fits great with very little of the cylinder sticking out.
with the security lock I found that there are two tags on cylinder and would only go in from the external side of the doors meaning removal of handles still took no more than a couple of minutes each.
in terms of changing the lock great video made life much easier thanks.
Quick update, I have just had the need to fit 4 locks to a friends doors after a break in. I bought Yale 3 star security locks from B&Q and found that these no longer have the tabs on the sacrificial part of the lock and can be fitted without the need to remove the handle, easy.
I do not work for any lock company or seller but please spend the extra and fit 3 star security locks. The one star cheap ones offer no protection at all from people who would do you harm. In truth in my opinion they are so week they should be banned.

I did this myself council would charge £85 for lock replacement but it cost me £7.00 and 5 mins of my time and it's all done thanks for the video.

Just worked for me - thanks! For anyone experiencing a problem sliding the cylinder out after undoing the holding screw - taking the handles off the door helps you see better. My cylinder had a couple of rusted ballbearings which meant it could only slide out in one direction. So if yours only half slides out, try pushing the cylinder the other way out instead. That worked for me.
