Google Drone delivers a package - Wing Drone

Goggle new winged drone has arrived!

A short video has surfaced featuring a google drone
dropping off a little package
in Arizona at a google event.

Aaref Hilaly of
Sequoia Capital, tweeted the video
with the message: “Watching baby
steps of drone delivery, courtesy of Google X.”
She also mentioned that this drone
should be able to hit 60 mph.

Google’s initial attempt to use and create
drone for disasters and emergencies
was abandoned earlier this year.

The drone seen Monday does have some similarities
with the wings and propellers featured.
The drone also has a tether and winch system.
It can hover directly above the deliver target
making it easy to deliver in areas that are not
easily accessible otherwise.

It is apparent that the new design of this drone
is more lighter and versatile than the previous google drone.

Google X chief Astro Teller says
we can expect an update before the
end of the year on how Project Wing is progressing.
