ISO/IEC 17025 / NABL Accreditation:

ISO/IEC 17025 is an International Standard for the Competence of Calibration and Testing laboratories issued by ISO / IEC.

The standard is useful for Group Companies (which have a testing/calibration lab), Research centers, Government Bodies / Agencies, Regulatory Bodies, Inspection bodies and Universities with the need to do Testing, Sampling or Calibration.

ISO/IEC 17025 has 2 key clauses: Management requirements which are associated with the performance and efficiency of the QMS inside the laboratory and Technical requirements which focus on the competencies of employees, testing methodology, equipment, and the test and calibration results.

Context of ISO 17025/NABL:

To define the qualification and competence of the Quality Manager / Technical Manager. Validation of Testing Methods through Inter-Laboratory Comparison and Calculation of Z- Score. Systematic and complete Test Reports Measurement of Uncertainty.
