I think some interior designers introduce some joke elements into the design, like those sheik sheep chairs. Never forget to add humor to each day and have a sense of playfulness. My ultra lux north las vegas loft style t-home has a similar wow factor with 20 foot high ceilings in the great room. When I redo my upstairs a/c I will get a 1/2 ton larger as your upstairs compressor has to help cool the lower level and that big space.

This place is well designed. The paint job on the loft shows what you can do with paint without moving into high costs. The brass will look dated in a couple of years. This harkens back to Hollywood Regency style which never stays long, ex the neo art deco pink, mauve, and light tan 80s plastic furniture, the last gasp of regency style.

As to house trees. a dragon tree is easy to grow, and tolerates heat and dryness. I have one eight feet tall now, and still growing (so you know I have 9 foot ceilings on the 2nd floor.). I call her Cleopatra. Give it a lot of love and of course human sacrifices, from time to time, and she is happy and shows it by her cuddling fronds and occasional burps. 😁

Great floor plan. I’ve seen brass go in and out of style so many times I would never choose it for my house. Prefer levers to round door handles.

15:30 i wasted money once on the "purgalo or what roof like on the grill. sun gets thru rain gets thru so tore it down for a covered roof. i laugh when i see them all that wood for what?
