Apart from being an incredible singer, the way she inhabits the character is extraordinary. The amount of emotional nuance she conveys silently in the last three seconds: the look to her Mum, the sadness/regret/gratitude in her eyes, and then the unrestrained joy of the ‘whoop!’ at the end. Absolutely astonishing performance.
